PALE - I took a little while, and some trial,
to decide on an image, that I could envisage
a picture of pale, my mind stale.
I penciled away, come what may
a pale cup of tea, a pale sea,
what can I draw, some pale straw?
lines and scribble, as I quibble
what shall it be, what do I see.
something white, an idea ignite.
A pale faced clown, with a slight frown,
pales behind a mask, begins his task.
A clown and a story?
to decide on an image, that I could envisage
a picture of pale, my mind stale.

Very nice work! And thanks for stopping by.
you are a poet, i hope you know it! Your clown reminds me of when i was young and loved "The tears of a clown" Red Skelton dressed up as a clown and i love all things clown!!! Great idea btw :)
Yeah, you bring me back to my childhood sweet memory.
Clowning around with clown:)
So clever, I love the cheerfulness that you have injected in this pale piece.
Really works well here:)
great sketch, love it!
clowns have some interesting stories...great sketch!
The subject is more important than the style? This is always the question for all my illustations...but when there are both...
Nice illustration and subject! :)
clown is perfect.
What an interesting take. A pale clown....
Great clown-- nice poem too!
Your poem and drawing made me smile. And no amount of clown makeup could hide it!
Lots of emotional depth.
